Sometimes projects take months of research, work and rework, before launching into the world. 

Sometimes you get less than a week.

When the City of Perrysburg, in partnership with the Country Garden Club and Keep Toledo/Lucas County Beautiful, came to Forage for their new drop-off composting program, they wanted engaging graphics that didn’t feel like garbage, but literally were. And they needed it “next week.”

Our logo and campaign design focused on providing information for the readers in multiple formats; posters, brochures, flyers - turning the content into “ah ha!” moments, avoiding grossed out cringes and inspiring them to participate in reducing landfill waste. Within a matter of days, the City of Perrysburg had their flyers ready to be distributed at the local farmers market and their first bins open for business. 

In addition to print materials, we built out some individual design elements in Canva, as we knew the City Information Officer was going to be promoting the program over more platforms. It is our firm belief that our design work should empower our clients, not tether them. We provided a set of assets allowing them to keep brand consistency when handling their own social media and promotions throughout the launch.

From scraps to soil, we took a short timeline and made a design that will yield years of healthy harvests to come!
